THE multi-millionaire owner of Carnforth’s Lakeland Leisure Village is to splash the cash to develop a caravan park near Milnthorpe.
John Morphet is to spend £3.5 million building state-of-the-art leisure facilities at Fell End Caravan Park at Hale.
The plans are awaiting approval from South Lake-land District Council but if approved will see a swimming pool, gym, restaurant and retail units up and running by June next year.
Mr Morphet, who owns several luxury holiday companies at home and abroad, including the exclusive Royal West-moreland golf estate in Barbados, says: “Our investment in Fell End Caravan Park emphasises how we continually strive to better cater for our customers’ needs and also highlights our long-term commitment to developing all of the holiday parks within our portfolio.”
